Stephen Heller Wins American Chemical Society Award

Dr. Stephen R. Heller, Member of IUPACís Committee on Printed and Electronic Publications (CPEP) and guest researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD, USA, has won the prestigious Herman Skolnik Award of the American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Information for 2000, jointly with G. W. A. (Bill) Milne, the Editor of the Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences.

Thomas Tidwell Wins Royal Society of Chemistry Award

Prof. Thomas T. Tidwell, Secretary of IUPACís Organic Chemistry Division (III) and Professor in the Department of Chemistry, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is the winner of the 1998 Royal Society of Chemistry Award for Organic Reaction Mechanisms, sponsored by the BP Research and Engineering Centre.
