National Adhering Organizations
National Adhering Organizations are the formal Members
of the Union, which represent the chemists in those countries. An
Adhering Organization may be a national chemical council, a national
society representing chemistry, a national academy of science, or
any other institution or association of institutions representative
of national chemical interests. IUPAC currently has 51 National Adhering
Organizations and 17 other countries affiliated with IUPAC as Associate
National Adhering Organizations.
Inquiries about membership of an organization in IUPAC
should be directed to the Executive Director, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
